2016 Year End Message from the Rabbi

Dear Friend,

As the calendar year comes to a close, I would like to thank you for your partnership with us. Your kind and generous support has allowed us to maintain our momentum and helped us create numerous opportunities for enriching Jewish life in our community.  Whether it is our holiday programs & workshops, High Holiday services, Circle of Hope, food distribution for the needy, counseling, Teen Programs, Jewish preschool or summer camp, Chabad Center for Jewish Life is here for everyone, regardless of background, affiliation, or level of observance.  For a report on the past year, scroll down.

Contrary to the belief of manywe receive no funding from Chabad Lubavitch Headquarters or their regional offices.  It’s you, your family and friends in our community who sustain our center, helping us inspire and touch lives each day, ensuring a strong and proud Jewish future.

As you make your year-end giving decisions and consider the many fine organizations and endeavors which merit your support, please consider Chabad of Merrick-Bellmore-Wantagh. As Chabad is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, you can receive a year-end tax deduction with your generous donation.  You will also have a share in the merit of every good deed we do, every teaching we share, every needy person we help and every smile we bring to a child's face.  We invite you to join us in the Chanukah festivities on Dec. 25th!  As construction moves apace, we also look forward to sharing the good news with you very soon, about the grand opening of the community Mikvah!

Checks can be made payable to Chabad of Merrick-Bellmore. Credit card donations are also accepted by clicking here . If you’d like to discuss sponsorship opportunities, stock transfers, foundations or building dedications for the new community center, please contact me at 516-833-3057 or e-mail me at   rabbik@ChabadJewishLife.org.

Our Sages teach us that those who help others are repaid tenfold. May G‑d bless you, in the merit of your kindness, that this coming year be one of great success both materially and spiritually.

Thank you for your consideration and support,

Shimon Kramer

Rabbi Shimon Kramer

P.S. Your year-end contribution will make a positive difference for the Merrick-Bellmore-Wantagh Jewish community!
