Update - Hurricane Relief Efforts

Dear Friends,

We hope you and your family are safe and doing alright, under these circumstances. We are proud to inform you that  our office has placed all Hurricane Relief Efforts as top priority, and we are trying to assist everyone  according to their needs.

  • We are still inviting all those in the area that do not have power to a Kosher communal dinner between 6-8 pm, tonight and every night of this week, until power is fully restored.  Please RSVP at 516-833-3057 or by replying to this e-mail (preferably before 2:30 pm each day).  You may also pick up hot food and take it home or deliver to someone you know who need it.

  • If you have the capability of allowing someone to stay in your home long term i.e. several months (offering pay), please let us know.

  •  If you need a warm place to stay, please contact us and we will try to help you find warm accommodations.

  • If you are able to host anyone in your home, please let us know so that we can extend your hospitality to others.

  • If you need to charge your cell phone, use your computers, or bring your children to a warm playroom to hang out or just want to warm up, we have rooms available for that as well.

  • We have hands-free flashlights and batteries for those who need.

  •  If you need help cleaning out  your homes from all the water damage, please contact us, as we have volunteers available.

  • If you are able to volunteer your services to help out in any way, please contact us as well.

  • To donate to our local hurricane relief fund, which assists us in our local efforts, and will be distributed to families in our community who need it, please click here (please note in the comment box-Hurricane Relief).

  • To donate to the general Chabad hurricane relief fund, whose proceeds will go directly to our network of centers that have been hard-hit by the hurricane, please  click here.

  • We would like to thank everyone who graciously opened up their homes to those who have not yet received power.

  • A special thanks to Cindy Knoll and Gail Stamler for all the hours they put in volunteering, preparing hot meals and driving around the neighborhood helping other people in need.

  • Our sincerest gratitude to David Kay of Seasons, and Shlomo from Main Glatt for their generous donations towards the relief efforts, allowing us to continue helping all those in need.  Also special thanks to Larry Goldstein from Kosher Emporium of Plainviewfor the weekly deliveries of hot meals for the elderly and those in need.
