Cooking for Hope is  an amazing opportunity for our community’s teens
to come together for an incredible cause while having fun and learning to cook at the same time!

Â
During each session, teens will have the opportunity to have fun and learn to cook a variety of Kosher dishes, Â all the while bringing hope and happiness to those coping with illness.
After the food is cooked, they are portioned into freezer-safe packages and frozen in our freezers. Throughout the month, volunteers can personally deliver the dishes to community members who are not well. A cheerful visit with a home-cooked care package can do wonders. Conveniently frozen while fresh, these meals can be reheated at their convenience.

If you know of someone in need of a home-cooked meal (whether recovering from surgery, birth, or going through illness or other challenging situations), please let us know as well so that we can arrange to deliver a meal/meals to them.
Cooking for Hope sessions are held on the 3rd or 4th Wednesday of each month, beginning in November, 2024. Join us for the opportunity to cook a variety of Kosher dishes, all the while bringing hope and happiness to those coping with illness.
Women who enjoy cooking have the opportunity to lead a cooking session or assist with the cooking/packing up of the food. Please register as well.
This program takes place at the Chabad Center for Jewish Life at 2174 Hewlett Ave, Merrick, NY 11566
