UPDATE: Dec 2021:
With the recent uptick in Covid-19 cases and the Omicron variant, the Chabad Center for Jewish life is dedicated to helping our community overcome challenges related to the virus any way we can.
Please note the following:
We are not medical professionals, but we have helped many people in various ways, such as helping find covid test locations/visits, getting patients in touch with doctors who specialize in treating covid patients, helping to find monoclonal antibody treatment locations, loaning out pulse oximeters, and more.
If you or a loved one is experiencing covid symptoms or tested positive for Covid-19, it is important that symptoms get treated during the early stages.
Here are some resources that can help you. If you aren't sure how to proceed, you can contact us to help you along, but please do not come to our office-rather, call us at 516-833-3057 ext. 0 or email [email protected].
Some pointers:
*If someone has covid, it's important to monitor your oxygen saturation level daily to ensure it is within normal range. We have pulse oximeters (which monitor the oxygen saturation levels) available at our office and are lending them out when needed. If you borrowed one in the past, please return it to our office.
*If you need a Covid PCR test at home, telehealth for Covid symptoms/post-covid complications, or antibody/spike protein testing, contact Preventive Cardiac Care (Dr Schechter) on their Covid Hotline at 718-25-COVID (26843). You can also WhatsApp them at this number 24/6.
