We will present the customs and history of Lag B'Omer and briefly touch upon Rabbi Akiva's life. We will then explore Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai's life, through a series of puzzles and challenges. We will learn the important lesson he learned when he emerged from the cave; his authoring of the Zohar; and how Kabbalah continues to illuminate our understanding of G‑d and Creation. We will end with an explanation of why traditionally we play with bows and arrows and have bonfires on Lag B'Omer, both connected to the remarkable life of the Rashbi.
